Long Read Sequencing

The long read sequencing technology is a DNA sequencing technology that does not undergo PCR amplification and is characterized by a long-read length, which realizes the individual sequencing of each DNA molecule. Compared with the second-generation sequencing technology, the read length is greatly improved, which can make up for the lack of the second-generation sequencing technology in the detection of complex structural variants.

CD Genomics' long read sequencing service is based on the internationally recognized PacBio Single Molecule Real-Time Sequencing (SMRT) technology and Oxford Nanopore single-molecule sequencing technology, using a variety of high-throughput, high-standard sequencing instruments. We provide a customizable, personalized one-stop service and guarantee that our data is authentic and able to meet any of your research needs.

Our Long Read Sequencing Services

Full-Length Isoform Sequencing: Based on PacBio SMRT technology, capable of sequencing contiguous full-length transcripts, including 5'UTR to 3'poly-A tail.

Long Read Whole Genome Resequencing: Based on PacBio SMRT, whole-genome sequencing is performed on genomic samples with existing reference sequences. By comparing the data obtained by sequencing with the species reference genome, the DNA sequence differences of different individuals between species can be obtained.

De Novo Genome Sequencing: Based on the long read sequencing platform, without relying on any reference sequence, the genome of unknown organisms is sequenced, and the obtained sequence information is then assembled and assembled, to draw the whole genome sequence map of the species and construct the Genome database of species.

Long Read Metagenomic Sequencing: Based on the PacBio SMRT sequencing technology, the microbial population genome is studied to analyze microbial diversity, population structure, and evolutionary relationships.

Long Read DNA Methylation Sequencing: DNA methylation sequencing based on Oxford Nanopore and PacBio SMRT can directly detect DNA methylation modification at the single-base resolution level without using bisulfite.

Our Long Read Sequencing Technology Platforms

PacBio Single Molecule Real-Time Sequencing (SMRT) sequencing technology is an optical signal-based sequencing technology that uses SMRT chips as sequencing vectors and sequencing by synthesis. Using fluorescently labeled deoxyribonucleotides, the intensity of the fluorescence is recorded in real-time, and the sequencing is done using the light signal.

Oxford Nanopore's single-molecule sequencing technology is an electrical signal-based sequencing technology. The technology is designed with a special nanopore, and as DNA bases pass through the nanopore, they cause a change in electrical charge, thus identifying the base passed.
