Long read whole genome resequencing of plants and animals is the process of sequencing the genome of species with known genome sequences and completing individual or population analysis on this basis. What Is Long Read Whole Genome Resequencing?

Long read whole genome resequencing refers to whole-genome sequencing in plant and animal genome samples relying on, for example, PacBio's long read sequencing technology platform. The data obtained by sequencing can be compared and analyzed with the species reference genome to obtain precise DNA sequence differences between the reference genome and the sample. In contrast, second-generation resequencing is unable to detect variants such as structural variation (SV) and copy number variation (CNV). Using sequencing data, researchers can perform large-scale population genetic analysis and also study the relationship between variants and genes, and traits. Long read whole genome resequencing is a novel approach to exploring biological genetic information.

Customers Need to Provide

Samples

  • For organ tissue samples, the sample should be greater than 0.35 g.
  • For cell samples, the cell count should be greater than 1 × 107.
  • For blood samples, mammalian blood should be greater than 0.5 mL and avian/fish blood should be greater than 0.1 mL.
  • For plant samples, fresh leaves should be greater than 0.5 g, petals/stems should be greater than 1.0 g, and roots/seeds should be greater than 2.0 g.
  • For DNA samples, the concentration needs to be greater than 50 ng/μL, A260/280 = 1.8-2.2, A260/230 = 1.8-2.5, and the sample is free of contamination or degradation.

Please note that the sampling or sample extraction process should be performed at a low temperature. All samples should be stored at -80℃ . Do not freeze and thaw repeatedly during sample storage. Please ship samples with a sufficient amount of dry ice when sending samples.

Please provide the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and species origin for each sample. And inform about the specific information as well as the control and experimental samples (if there are groupings, describe in detail the grouping analysis information).
