Total RNA-Seq

Based on the whole transcriptome sequencing service provided by next-generation sequencing technology, CD Genomics can simultaneously analyze mRNA, lncRNA, circRNA, and miRNA in the same sample, and through association analysis, the detection data is more systematic.

What Is Total RNA-Seq?

The whole transcriptome sequencing also named total RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) refers to the sum of all RNAs that can be transcribed by a specific cell in a specific state, including mRNA and non-coding RNA. Research on non-coding RNA mainly focuses on miRNA, lncRNA, and circRNA with regulatory roles.

Customers Need to Provide

Samples

  • For tissue samples, general tissue samples should be sent at least 200 mg/sample (animal samples should be less than 0.5 cm thick and plant samples should be less than 0.3 cm thick); spore samples should be sent at least 500 mg/sample.
  • For microbial samples, fungal samples should be sent at least 100 mg/sample; bacterial samples should be sent at least 107 orders of magnitude (indicate whether they belong to Gram-positive G+ or Gram-negative bacteria G-).
  • For cell samples, a sample volume of 5 × 106 orders of magnitude is required.
  • For blood samples, only fresh, unfrozen, anticoagulated blood samples should be accepted.
  • For RNA samples, please provide a total RNA sample with a concentration of ≥100 ng/µL and a total volume of ≥2 µg, with samples deproteinized and DNase treated.

Please note that tissue samples need to be fresh for the experiment. To verify the purity of the RNA samples, the 260/280 ratio should be between 1.8 and 2.1 and the 260/230 ratio should be higher than 1.5. All samples need to be stored in a -80℃ refrigerator and transported on dry ice.

Sample Information

Please provide the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and species origin for each sample. And inform about the specific information as well as the control and experimental samples (if there are groupings, describe in detail the grouping analysis information).
