Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing

CD Genomics, a leading sequencing company, offers a wide range of sequencing services. With the development of epigenetics, there is an increasing demand for methylation sequencing by the human eye. To help researchers explore the methylation levels of DNA, we offer reduced representation bisulfite sequencing services that allow for the discovery of methylation at the individual nucleotide level.

What Is Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing?

Reduced representation bisulfite sequencing is a high-throughput technique used to analyze whole-genome methylation at the individual nucleotide level. RRBS technology combines restriction endonucleases and bisulfite sequencing to yield enriched information in high CpG regions, enabling a reduction in the number of nucleotides required for sequencing to 1% of the genome. RRBS is more cost-effective than whole genome bisulfite sequencing and offers greater coverage and less bias than bead array-based DNA methylation platforms, making it an ideal platform for analyzing DNA methylation.

Customers Need to Provide

Samples

The quality of the DNA sample required for RRBS needs to meet several conditions.

  • The Recom. quantity of the DNA sample needs to be >= 1 µg.
  • The concentration of the DNA sample needs to be >= 20 ng/µL and the volume needs to be >= 50 µL.
  • The Lowest Quantities of the DNA samples need to be >= 500 ng, Preferred Buffer is EB.
  • 260/280 ratio for DNA samples is 1.8-2 and 260/230 ratio >2.

Please note that all samples must be accompanied by appropriate sample quality control documentation (e.g., bioanalyzer traces, agarose gel electrophoresis images) and that all samples should be stored at -80°C and shipped on sufficient dry ice.

Sample Information

Please provide the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and species origin for each sample. And inform about the specific information as well as the control and experimental samples (if there are groupings, describe in detail the grouping analysis information).
