What Is miRNA & Small RNA-Seq?

Small RNAs, including miRNA, siRNA, and piRNA, are important regulators of life activities, and although they are only about 18-40 nucleotides in length, they play an important role in physiological processes such as regulation of gene expression, development of individual organisms, metabolism and disease development. miRNA & small RNA-seq is a technology for isolating and sequencing small RNA with unprecedented sensitivity and dynamic range.

Customers Need to Provide

Samples

  • For cell samples, a total volume of 2 × 106 is required.
  • For tissue samples, send a minimum of 100 mg for animal tissues and 500 mg for plant tissues.
  • For small RNA samples, be sure to use an RNA isolation procedure specifically designed to retain small RNA.
  • For total RNA samples, please provide total RNA samples with a concentration ≥ 100 ng/µL and a total amount ≥ 2 µg. And the samples were deproteinated and DNase treated. miRNA processing Drosha and Dicer are RNase III family nucleases, so the 5' of miRNA is -PO4 group and 3' is -OH group, which can be directly used for the ligation reaction. In addition, by directly performing a ligation reaction on total RNA and recovering fragments with an insertion length of 18-30 nt, it is possible to enrich miRNA, build libraries for sequencing, and analyze miRNA expression.

Please note that all samples should be stored at -80℃ and transported on dry ice.

Please provide the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and species origin for each sample. And inform about the specific information as well as the control and experimental samples (if there are groupings, describe in detail the grouping analysis information).
